Original French 91 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1933 Jack Raymond Comedy IT’S A KING, based on a story by Paul England & Claude Hulbert and starring Sydney Howard, Joan Maude, Cecil Humphreys, George De Warfaz, Arthur Goullet, Franklyn Bellamy, Bela Berkes and His Gypsy Orchestra and Lew Stone and His Monseigneur Orchestra.
Funny spoof of “The Prisoner of Zenda”, with Sydney Howard as an insurance agent mistaken for the King of Helgia, who has taken off for a few weeks’ secret holiday. Albert enjoys a romantic interlude with a princress (Maude), becomes involved with revolutionaries intent on abducting the king and foils their plot, before the real king returns.
The poster is in very good folded condition in 2 separate sheets.
