I will be listing a few of these International Collectors Library Books.  The lady I got these books from was downsizing and could not take her sizable library with her.  Her loss is your's and my gain.  If you like these collector books, please come back often as it will take me a while to get them all photographed and listed.

From the way the pages feel, I don't think she read most of the books she collected, just put in her bookcases.

This is the second book by this title.  The only difference between the two books are the covers.  This book is covered in the 19th Century Mercier Binding replica leather binding with a ribbon place marker.  This cover is light blue and decorated in genuine gold.  The page tops are coated with 24K gold, a feature which not only is decorative but also serves to prevent soiling by dust.

The Last Days of Pompeii was one of the most popular English historical novels of the nineteenth century. It tells the story of the virtuous Greeks Glaucus and Ione, their escape from Pompeii amid the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 CE, and their eventual conversion to Christianity, against a background of Roman decadence and corrupt Eastern religion.
