The hunting magazine was published and edited by the hunter and writer G.E.Min. The magazine began its existence in 1858 with the active support of S. T. Aksakov, a Russian writer, where government resolutions and orders relating to hunting, original and translated articles, descriptions of hunting weapons, rules and methods of hunting, articles on the way of life, distribution and reproduction of animals, and historical materials on hunting and weapons were published.
