Original oil and gas vintage magazine ad HUGHES TOOL COMPANY. Worlds deepest well and the bits that maintained a half century tradition. We are proud of the part Hughes played in this history making well. But as important as tools and equipment were to this achievement, it was the drilling crews and the men who directed their efforts to whom the final credit is due. Pictured are the 7 bits used in drilling below 25,000 feet, and a painting of the Phillips Pecos County well.
