Original 1842 4 3/8 inch x 6 inch engraving titled HOUSEHOLD VIRTUES.
A woman with baby seated at an outdoor table with four children, with a dog and cat looking on. At the right a man standing in a cottage doorway looking somewhat bemused.
Engraved by Peter Lightfoot (1805 - 1885). Line engraver who worked in London engraving plates for 'The Art Union' (1847-48) and 'The Art Journal' (1852).
After Edward Henry Corbould (1815 - 1905). A British artist, noted as a historical painter and watercolourist.
From ‘Fisher’s Drawing Room Scrap-Book’ published by Fisher, Son & Co., Newgate Street, London & 108, Rue St. Honore, Paris.
