locality is called Glenwood Spriiés, Colorado. In summer, the wateris so hot that bathing would be impossible were it not that cold water is let into the artificial basins, in order to moderate the
heat. In winter, however, anyone may bathe therein with impunity, inasmuch as the steam arising from the surface of the water serves to heat the surrounding air for a considerable distance.
