Seller's Description
8" x 6" Official press photograph of GORDON CRAMP who was a successful National Hunt jockey until his riding career was ended by a broken hand in 1969. He is pictured at his new training establishment at Failand, near Bristol where he set up with nine horses for Mrs John Ogden, wife of a Bristol businessman and her father-in-law Mr F. J. Ogden.
Cramp is pictured with seven year old MILL MELODY who competed in the top hurdle races. Cramp was apprentice to Matt Feakes and head lad and first jockey to Tom Gates in Sussex. He rode four times in The Grand National.
Press Association stamp and caption on reverse. Dated March 2nd 1970.The photograph is in good condition.
