This is the 1937 copyright edition from Collier & Son. Bound in a tan leatherette cover with blue imprints on the cover and spine. 401 pages are all tightly bound and clean, though they show some toning. Normal wear to the cover and spine with sharp edges and corners. The frontispiece shown is behind a tissue facing, and spurs the reader's thinking as they delve into these 24 "English Essays", from Sir Philip Sidney to Thomas Babington Macaulay and 15 in between.
