Seller's Description

Original British 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1954 Maurice Elvey Comedy Drama THE HAPPINESS OF 3 WOMEN, based on the play “Wishing Well” by Eynon Evans and starring Brenda de Banzie, Eynon Evans, Petula Clark, Donald Houston, Patricia Cutts, Patricia Burke, Bill O’Connor, Gladys Hay and the London Welsh Youth Choir.

The conniving village postman does his best to bring fulfillment to the lives of guests at the village pub and to marry the landlady himself. The proposed marriage between Petula Clarke and Donald Houston as a war hero in a wheelchair has conviction and restraint. The sub-plots keep attention switching skillfully, including a sensual bedroom scene between two of the guests.
