Detailed Condtion : Wood has natural imperfections but the piece itself seems to be just fine.
- Wooden turtle figurine (appears to be hand carved)
- Light colored wood with colorful segmented shell
- Approximate dimensions: 8-1/4" x 4-1/2" x 3-1/4"
- Weighs 11 ounces
- No marks of origin
- Very good condition; does show natural imperfections in the wood and the irregularities you expect with a hand carved piece. There is some kind of white substance between the segments on the shell and where there are hand carved marks on the turtle. I'm not sure if this is some kind of filler (possibly used to separate the colors on the shell) or the natural result of carving into the wood. This white substance has dried and shows tiny crack lines throughout. If you look closely, this effect can be seen in the photos.
