Seller's Description

Original Twentieth Century-Fox British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1969 James Ivory Drama THE GURU, written for the screen by Ruth Prawer Jhabvala & James Ivory and starring Michael York, Rita Tushingham, Utpal Dutt, Madhur Jaffrey, Barry Foster, Aparna Sen, Zohra Sehgal and Saeed Jaffrey.

English pop singer York goes to India to learn the sitar and falls for the Indian way of life.

The poster art is by David Stone Martin (1913 - 1992). An American artist best known for his illustrations on jazz record albums. Most of his designs were simply line art combined with a single colour using his favourite tool, the crowquill pen, which enabled him to do delicate line work

The poster is in very good folded condition
