The way this buttonholder is made, reminds me of my days in High School sewing class.  Way back in the late 50's, we had Singer sewing machines in out class room and we all learned how to use the button hole attachment made by Singer and Greist.  They were almost identical in their design and the way they worked.  I won't go as far as saying the the actual button hole cams could be switched from one to the other, but they both worked the same.

This button hold fits on the side of the needle with the screw attachment.  There are 5 cams (fits different size buttons), there are 4 showing in the box and one inside the actual machine.  The pressure plate and screw are also included, along with a great instruction booklet.

You will be very happy to own one of these versatile machines.  I remember when I got my first Singer with the built in button hole maker, I was not satisfied and went right back to using my old fashion button hole maker, just like this one.  I guess I was spoiled.

Everything needed is in the box, except for a small screw driver for the pressure plate screw.
