Handcrafted Hobo Clown Doll

The doll stands about 16 inches tall with stand.

He is crafted from an interior wooden and metal frame work with some cloth filling.  Painted ceramic hands, face and shoes complete the doll.

He has longish gray hair.  His painted features include a red nose, rosy cheeks, blue eyes, gray eyebrows and brownish beard stubble.  A stubby cigar in the corner of his mouth.

He is dressed in a floppy hat of tan corduroy with a couple of plaid patches on the top of the hat.  Pull the brim up or down as you choose.  He wears a blue and white checked long sleeve shirt, a red plaid tie and patched blue jeans which are cut into diamond shaped fringe.

A fringed tan cloth - you decide if it is an apron or scarf - is tied around his waist.

In his white gloved hands, he holds a green bottle with a gold label and top.

His toes peek through his black shoes.

There is a sticker on the bottom of one shoe which we think applies to the ceramic pieces not the artist.

There is some paint transfer on the white hands.  The edges of his hat and clothing and patches are all frayed (intentionally.)  The patches and tie are hot glued rather than sewn.  There are some paint losses on the black shoes.  The doll was displaced in a sheltered case, but is still a little dusty.

Shipping includes USPS tracking where available.

All shipments are subject to US Postal Service regulations.

When we ship the item, you will receive a message with shipping information and USPS Tracking Number (where applicable.)

Please visit www.usps.com to check the tracking of your package for shipments within the United States.  End to end tracking is not available for most shipments outside the United States.

Please let us know if you’re sending a gift, because we will be including a receipt with the price of the item.  You may not want us to include the receipt.  We’re happy to include our gift card (at no cost) or your note or message (also at no cost.)  We will not send anonymous gifts.

Occasionally, we have questions after your purchase.  Sometimes we need to confirm a shipping address.  If we have questions, we will contact you through ebid’s messaging system. Please check your ebid Messages and your email or shipment of your item may be delayed.  It is possible that your purchase may be cancelled if we don’t hear back from you.

BUYERS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES - PLEASE NOTE:

Receipt of your item may be delayed if it has to go through custom inspection in your country.  Occasionally, this adds days or weeks to delivery.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.

Customs fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick the item up. These fees are not additional shipping charges.

We won't under-value merchandise or mark the item as a gift on customs forms. Doing that is against U.S. and international laws.

During peak shipping times, it may take weeks to have your item clear customs.  We’ve had some items arrive in Europe in a week, but a package to South America once took six weeks to arrive!  Again, you’ll have to check with the customs office in your country if your item hasn’t been received.

Restrictions in your country may not allow us to ship certain items. 

Many countries do not allow shipments of coins or precious metals, for example.  Some media, including computer software, music CDs or DVDs may be restricted for sale outside the United States.

VHS and DVDs are formatted differently for different countries.

If you are purchasing a VHS videotape, please note the format your machine requires before you make your purchase.  Most of our tapes are NTSC format (it is specified in the listing what the format is) which will not work in most video players in Europe and Australia.  We routinely contact anyone overseas who purchases a VHS video to ask them to check if their machine can play an NTSC tape before we ship. 

Many DVDs also have a specific format by country.  If you are purchasing a DVD, please make sure the DVD is a format that will play in your machine.

We’ve found our “stolen” photographs and text on other e-commerce websites many times.  In order to help reduce fraud and image theft, you’ll notice that most of our photographs have our logo or other label appearing on each image which obscures a small part of the item. 

It is possible that anyone who uses stolen images or text may not even have the item they are trying to sell and that their intention is to defraud you.  We don’t want anyone to use our images or text to try and sell you something they don’t have.
