These awesome Marvel Comics Giant-Size Comics were first released in the summer of 1974 and are coveted by Comics’ Collector’s today! 1 – Aug. 1974 – FN/VF – Is a three chapter story by Steve Gerber, Mike Ploog & Frank Chiaramonte, as the Cult of Entropy employ the Golden Brain a weapon that causes Man-Thing pain & attacks them! The Cult members command the brain to create a monster which battles the Man-Thing and during the fight, the Man-Thing impales the Glob with a tree causing it to explode! The Brain washes ashore, where it uses its powers to transform the muck around it into a Glob body! "The Ice-Monster Cometh!" from Amazing Adult Fantasy #11 by Stan Lee & Steve Ditko! "I Was the Invisible Man!" is by Jack Kirby from Strange Tales #67! "Goom! The Thing from Planet X!" by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber & Dick Ayers from Tales of Suspense #15!
2 – Nov. 1974 – NM- - "Of Monsters and Men!" by Steve Gerber, John Buscema & Klaus Janson! Vivian believes that the Man-Thing had something to do with her Husband’s death and vows to have the creature captured. She hires a team to who succeed in capturing the Man-Thing in an electrified sphere. They then put it on display in New York as part of an exhibit! Mister Fantastic of the Fantastic Four is able to stop the creature’s rampage. Tony Stark makes a cameo! Finding that the Man-Thing is dying out of its natural habitat, they have the muck-monster returned to the Florida Everglades! Goom! The Thing from Planet X! Part 2" from Tales of Suspense #15! "He Stalks By Night!" r/p Strange Tales #51! “I Dared Enter the Forbidden World!" r/p Tales to Astonish #15! 3 – Feb. 1975 – VF/NM – a long tale by Steve Gerber & Alfredo Alcala shows the forces of the evil Wizard Klonus have taken over the realm of Katharta! Dakimh and Jennifer Kale dispatch the Man-Thing to that realm to rescue Korrek from execution at Klonus' devices and mayhem is let loose! Transported back to Earth, their battle resumes in Citrusville where Dakimh dies and Man-Thing returns to the swamp! "Krogg!" r/p Amazing Adventures #6 and stars Doctor Droom, better known as Doctor Druid! "Save Me from the Weed!" from Strange Tales #94 sees a weed with the ability to control minds! "Humans, Keep Out" from Journey Into Mystery #86! "Blackmail!" from Mystery Tales #11! Marvel Value Stamp is # 79 Swordsman!
4 – May 1975 – VG/FN – "The Kid's Night Out!" by Steve Gerber, Ed Hannigan, Ron Wilson & Frank Springer sees the Man-Thing drawn to a young boy Edmund’s funeral by the violent emotions and burns Edmond's uncle and Alice manages to escape after accusing the family of mistreating Edmund! The gym teacher ,who ran him to death, gets the Windshed clan to confront her. As they are about to burn Edmond's memoirs, the Man-Thing arrives and attacks them all. Each victim gives into their fears and is burned and killed in a fitting epitaph to their behavior to Edmond. After the attacks, the Man-Thing walks off again into the swamp! "Frog Death!" sees Howard The Duck escape the dimensional void lands back on Earth In Cleveland! A guy names Garko transforms into a giant frog and they fight… As the police car drives away, it runs over the frog body of Garko! "I Entered the... Doorway to Doom!" from Strange Tales #72! "A Man With No Past" from Journey Into Mystery #21!
5 – Aug. 1975 – VF/NM - "Fear Times Three!" by Steve Gerber,
Ed Hannigan & Dan Adkins! Ted Sallis and Ellen Brandt attend a carnival in Citrusville. They stop at Madame Swabada’s fortune telling kiosk, and the old woman agrees to read their palms. She receives disturbing psychic impressions & tells him three horrifying tales of his ultimate future fate! "There's a Party in 6G!" An occultist named Margaret and her followers wish to summon a demon known as Ehrthold and kidnap her neighbor’s son Allen to sacrifice. The Man-Thing senses the frenetic emotions of the infant and finds himself drawn towards there. He bursts into the room, just as Margaret invokes the demon, Ehrthold. Chaos erupts, as Man-Thing rescues baby Allen before the cultists can offer him up as sacrifice. While the Man-Thing destroys several of the cultists, Ehrthold attacks Margaret! (TRIVIA: Her address is 345 Clinton street…next door to 344 Clinton street…CLARK KENT’S ADDRESS!) "The Sins of the Fathers" is a sad tale of two families feuding that ends in death for two of them! "Lifeline"A man named Jackson Hunter organizes a mercenary team to track down the Man-Thing. He wants revenge on the creature for destroying the left side of his face with his burning touch two years ago! "Hellcow!" sees Howard the Duck inside of a Cleveland jail cell, mistaken for a midget in a costume, he gets out and takes a walk that night…a Vampiric bovine known as the Hellcow swoops down out of the sky and attacks Howard. It kicks him into an auto store and attempts to drink his blood. Howard keeps Hellcow at bay with a cross-shaped lug wrench, and makes it bite a whitewall tire, then Howard destroys it with a stake and hammer! "A Sight for Sore Eyes" from Marvel Tales #109 sees A nearsighted burglar breaks into a & injects himself with the serum to fix his eyesight, only to discover that it was made to cure the eyesight of bats. The man begins slowly changing into a man/bat hybrid! Marvel Value Stamp featuring Kang!
