Seller's Description

Original 10 inch x 8 inch Black and White Still of BASIL RADFORD on the jockey scales in the 1951 Henry Cornelius Comedy THE GALLOPING MAJOR.

The title is taken from the song "The Galloping Major", and the plot was centred on gambling at the horse racing track. People in a London suburb form a syndicate to buy a race horse to run in the Grand National but they accidentally buy the wrong horse. The horse is useless on the flat, so they decide to enter him as a jumper.

The still is in very good condition with a 1/2 tear at the left edge and slight surface marks. There is a synopsis and cast list taped to the reverse.
