G.G. Pisarevsky Economy and form of land ownership in the colonies of the Volga region in the 18th and the first quarter of the 19th centuries. In Russian /Pisarevskiy G.G. This study is based mainly on documents stored in the Archives of the General Administration of Land Administration and Agriculture. The author focuses on land management and land ownership in the colonies of the Volga region against the background of the history of the development of these territories in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. The author analyzes the legislative establishment of the government and the practice of their application, describes the social structure of colonial settlements, the relationship of self-government bodies with the central government. Special attention is paid to the norms and customs of inheritance, as well as tax policy in the territories of the colonies.
