Frankoma Pottery Family Collectors Assoc C1 Coffee Mug

 A used art pottery coffee cup mug from Frankoma Pottery.  The mug is model C1 with a Bone or White Sand glaze.  It features the Frankoma Family Collector 'Pot and Puma' logo on one side.  This color mug was produced at Frankoma Pottery in 1996 and was number four in the Frankoma Family Collector Series.

This pre-owned Frankoma art pottery piece measures 4 inches tall x 3-1/4 inches in diameter at the rim. This mug has two noticeable manufacturing defects.  These happened when the mug was being made.  There is a crease/missing glaze to the lower left of the logo.  The mug handle also has a crease in the middle and is missing glaze - this a very obvious manufacturing flaw and not due to the mug being mishandled.

The bottom of the mug reads ' C1, Frankhoma'.  The side of the mug has the upraised logo.  The logo is the color of the unglazed mug clay.  I do not know which clay was used to make the mug.  Due to the reddish color, I suspect it is Sapulpa not Ada. 

The mug was made at Frankoma Pottery's  Sapulpa, Oklahoma facilities. Frankoma Pottery ceased all pottery production in May 2010.

The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repair from use.  There are the two noticeable manufacturing defects.
