A trio of visitors are dwarfed by the immense size of the underground energy complex built by the long dead Krell race in this Ralph McQuarrie concept art for the proposed 1995 remake of the classic 1956 sci-fi tale. Irvin Kershner, director of THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, was tabbed to helm but the project failed to materialize, reportedly due to an inferior script.

All photos are brand new glossy or lustre-finished unless stated otherwise. Black and white stills are first generation prints unless noted as studio originals.
