Original 1962 British 11 inch x 17 inch Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1961 Henry Koster Musical Comedy FLOWER DRUM SONG, written by Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II, in turn based on the 1957 novel of the same name by the Chinese American author Chin Yang Lee and starring Nancy Kwan, James Shigeta, Benson Fong, Jack Soo, Juanita Hall, Reiko Sato, Patrick Adiarte, Kam Tong and Victor Sen Yung.
A young woman arrives in San Francisco’s Chinatown from Hong Kong with the intention of marrying a rakish nightclub owner, unaware he is involved with one of his singers.
The Advertisement is in good to very good condition. The advert was on two separate pages and has been joined together from the reverse with archival tape.
