Ambitious shoe salesman, Harold, unknowingly meets the boss’ daughter and tells her he is a leather tycoon. The rest of the film he spends hiding his true circumstances, in the store and later on a ship. Trying to deliver a letter, he later finds himself dangling high above the street on a building’s scaffolding.

On the reverse is the Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1953 John Harlow Crime Drama THE BLUE PARROT, based on the original story “Gunman” by Percy Hoskins and starring Dermot Walsh, Jacqueline Hill, Ballard Berkeley, June Ashley, Richard Pearson, Ferdy Mayne, John Le Mesurier, Valerie White, Victor Lucas, Edwin Richfield, Diane Watts and Arthur Rigby.

A London Soho nightclub is the focus for an undercover investigation into the murder of a small-time crook.

The Advertisement is in good to very good condition with a slight stain at the upper right corner. The Blue Parrot advertisement has a strip of surface paper loss at the right edge.
