Original 1960s Belgian 14 inch x 21 inch Poster for the 1940 Samuel Armstrong, James Algar, Bill Roberts, Paul Satterfield, Ben Sharpsteen, David D. Hand, Hamilton Luske, Jim Handley, Ford Beebe, T. Hee, Norman Ferguson & Wilfred Jackson Walt Disney Animated Fantasy FANTASIA with music conducted by Leopold Stokowski.
Disney’s still wonderful feature-length Silly Symphony, composed of eight animated sequences, each depicting a popular piece of classical music. Highlights: Mickey Mouse in Dukas’s ‘Sorcerer’s Apprentice’, the surreal images to Bach’s ‘Toccata and Fugue’, the elephant ballet to Ponchielli’s ‘Dance of the Hours’, and the prehistoric sequence for Stravinski’s’Rite of Spring’.
The poster is in very good unfolded (rolled) condition.
