The world is indebted for this wonderful , Production of inzenuity, perseverance/ and mechanical skill to Jacob Lovelace, born in the city of Exeter, 15th March, 1656, who, to Ihe disgrace of the age, ended his days in great poverty in that city, 1st April, 1716, aged sixty years, having been thirty-four years completing it.
