Overall condition is acceptable. This is a library bound version of the 1st. edition of this book. This particular printing uses a green base with blue for the lettering and art lines. I have seen other library bound versions using a gray/yellow color scheme and another using blue/black. How these variants pertain to printing history or if the different color usage refer to copies made by different binding companies, I cannot say. Either way, it remains a 1st. edition. Because this was meant for a library, it does not have a dust jacket. Illustrations in the book are done by Aldren A. Watson. As a former library book, it has library markings on the first page and third and there is a card pocket and stampings in the inside back cover. The covers have wear as one would expect from a library book and while the edges have some wear, the binding has held up pretty well with no fraying. The pages have some discoloration with age.
