This video takes you inside the EAA's B-17 Flying Fortress Aluminum Overcast. See the magnificent restoration and find out what it is like to fly this big four-engine bomber. Features extensive camera mount footage and in cockpit flight video. From Pearl Harbor to the end of the war, the Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortress" was one of the most widely-recognized airplanes in the allied arsenal. The B-17's role in the European Theater and reputation for withstanding damage have resulted in a legend. More than 12,000 were built, but only a handful are airworthy today. Take a rare glimpse into this fantastic airplane through extensive use of mount camera footage and air-to-air photography.
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is an annual gathering of aviation enthusiasts held each summer at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States. The airshow is sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association, an international organization based in Oshkosh, and is the largest of its kind in the world. The show lasts a week, usually beginning on the last Monday in July. During the gathering, the airport's control tower is the busiest in the world.
