Trotting speedster, GREYHOUND, burst onto the scene during the depression era; dubbed, "THE GREY GHOST", he set incredible trotting records that stand yet today. GREYHOUND coursed the Red Mile in 1:55-1/4; ironically the same clocking as the great DAN PATCH. GREYHOUND even set records while racing as a team, trotting to a blazing 1:58-1/4 distinction paired with the great mare, ROSALIND. Features extremely rare footage of GREYHOUND in some of his remarkable racing performances and also at 30-years-old looking healthy and fit in 1962, 27 years after winning the historic Hambletonian - still king of all he surveys and still a world champion trotter, he set more than a dozen world records in his day. No horse alive in the world could match the power, grace and unbelievable speed that he possessed back in his day. As GREYHOUND's career ended, war began and the dream of international competition faded temporarily. With the world back to normal in 1952 and GREYHOUND safely out to pasture, the realization of international racing was accomplished.
