Monochrome real photographic postcard showing a view of Trebah Pier at Durgan near Mawnan Smith on the Helford River in Cornwall, a temporary structure originally constructed as an embarkation point for the 29th US Infantry Division for the D-Day landings in Normandy in 1944.
Published by D.E.M. Thomas, Dolton, No 134.
Postally used on 25 August 1960 with Falmouth cancellation on red 2½d stamp and sent to Mrs G Black, 5 Victoria Terrace, South Street, Dorking, Surrey.
Good condition, with very slight corner bumps, but a few long linear marks, though too light to be called bends.
