Seller's Description

Original 1975 U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1970 Jacques Demy Musical Fantasy DONKEY SKIN (PEAU D'ANE), based on the fairy tale by Charles Perrault and starring Catherine Deneuve, Jean Marais, Jacques Perrin, Micheline Presle, Delphine Seyrig, Fernand Ledoux, Henri Cremieux and Sacha Pitoeff.

In this lovingly crafted, wildly eccentric adaptation of a classic French fairy tale, Jacques Demy casts Catherine Deneuve as a princess who must go into hiding as a scullery maid in order to fend off an unwanted marriage proposal—from her own father, the king (Jean Marais).

Poster art by Lee Reedy. Lee Reedy and illustrator Robert Clayton designed several theatrical posters for Janus Films through their Denver based design studio Dot Graphics.

The poster is in fine folded condition.
