Yes, the product can be used in about 3.2 feet of water, BUT please note that the product is not dive rated!

Will this device detect underground service entrance cable?
If the wire is buried too deep it will be impossible to find because it is used to pinpoint metal objects to make it easier to find it in dirt, sand or grass after locating the object with a regular metal detector.
