Question From r0bid [+262] Fri 30 Jan 2015 23:16:59 (EDT) shipping calc for
Canada not working
|
Answer From willew53 [+76] Sat 31 Jan 2015 13:46:43 (EDT) Hello I tried the Canada Post shipping calc and it worked ok. Make sure that you select Canada and then input your postal code in the box that says postal code. Let me know if it does not work for you.

Question From r0bid [+262] Sat 31 Jan 2015 14:20:02 (EDT) it sort of works, but
when I input into the
CPC site it says $22.50
I am having trouble
with my listing as it
is $5 less than actual
also it doesn't seem
to change with
multiple items
I e-mailed E-bid and
they are checking into
it Thanks for your
time.

Answer From willew53 [+76] Sat 31 Jan 2015 20:52:18 (EDT) Hi Rob
I reported that the postage calculation was not working a few months back. The only reply that I got was to use the actual Canada Post site. It looks like the calculator does not take into account the additional fees that Canada post charges ie: fuel charge. To try and compensate I add a handling charge even though it does not factor in properly either. One would think that the programming does not point to the final value, but to the starting value. This error cost me $10 out of my pocket when I shipped an item to Australia. Hope that someone will get this fixed soon.

Question From r0bid [+262] Sat 31 Jan 2015 21:33:30 (EDT) I guess the best way
is to invoice a buyer
after the sale, but
that may scare off
potential buyers with
the surprise at the
end.
I tried adding the
handling fee but it
tends to put a buyer
off with the thought
that I am adding in
another fee.
