Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1959 Sergei Bondarchuk Russian Wartime Drama DESTINY OF A MAN (SUDBA CHELOVEKA), based on a story by Mikhail Sholokhov and starring Sergei Bondarchuk, Pavel Boriskin, Zinaida Kiriyenko, Pavel Volkov, Yuri Averin and Kirill Alekseyev.
Beautifully made tragedy about a Russian soldier (Bondarchuk) who escapes a Nazi prisoner-of-war camp then discovers that his whole family has died during the war. Harsh realism and the grim story make for hard viewing, but there’s lots of power and feeling in Bondarchuk’s directorial debut.
The poster is in very good folded condition with corner pinholes.
