#169 Trifle Quilt
Finished Size: 48” x 65” (1.2 m x 1.62 m)
Instructions are given for machine as well as for handwork. Choose your favourite method.
Materials Needed
• Eight fat quarters each of three colours or three distinct values.
• 1/3” yd (30 cm) of accent fabric
• 1-1/8 yd (1 m) of border and binding fabric
• 3 yd (2.7 m) backing
• 52” x 69” batting
• matching thread
• sticky sandpaper circles (available in quilt stores)
• permanent marker
For piecing by hand:
• soft template plastic, fabric and paper scissors, pencil crayons for marking fabrics
For piecing by machine:
• firm template plastic, paper scissors, rotary cutting equipment with smallest cutter available or fabric scissors
Please note that the batik quilt on the left features an optional appliqué shape.
