It was working until I tried to replace the display cable. After I got a different display cable installed (used, not new), I could never get it to power on again. I was trying to replace the display cable because the touchscreen would not respond to my finger. I'm reasonably sure that the screen itself is okay, I think the problem was probably the display cable. I think that either the display cable I installed killed it, or something I did while replacing it killed it.
What you will receive:
-Computer (minus the hard drive)
-Power adapter
-Battery (okay condition, original Dell circa 2015)
-Extra display cable (which may or may not be bad)
-Extra screen that looks okay except for a blurry blemish (if you want it)
-Another extra screen that looks okay but is cracked all over (if you want it)
What you won't receive:
-The hard drive
I want this thing out of my house. I have spent countless hours trying to figure out why the touchscreen wouldn't respond, $100 on a replacement screen, and then another couple hours trying to install that cable and then figuring out why the computer would not power on at all after that. I had big plans to get this thing working 100% and sell it for about $400 or $500. Now I just want it gone and my money back if I can recover it.
If you can fix it, it's a great computer. If you want it for parts, there are a lot of good parts here, except for whatever is keeping it from powering on.
One more thing. I didn't test the power button, but seeing as how it has worked flawlessly up until now, I figure its alright.
