Seller's Description
"Heinie (Jack Burke) and His Grenadiers" were once a major presence in Milwaukee radio, being broadcast on WTMJ (The Milwaukee Journal) from the 1930's right into the 1950's. They played German folk music and spoke in thick German accents, at least until the start of World War II. The band was immensely popular and made recordings for Decca and Coral Records.

This example of their work is in near-mint condition! It shows only a hint of playwear and background noise is virtually non-existent. Clean, glossy and beautifully preserved.
Side 5119-A features an instrumental of, "Honeymoon Polka" and side 5119-B presents, "Die Dorfmusik" (Village Music), a waltz tempo with vocal chorus by Walter Grebe.
