Seller's Description

Ben Bernie was an American jazz violinist and radio personality, often introduced as The Old Maestro. He was noted for his showmanship and memorable bits of snappy dialogue.

 photo BenBernie.jpg

Here are two Big Band dance melodies from Decca Records, circa mid-1930's. This record shows only faint playwear with a high glossy sheen. The audio is great, with light scuffs and scratches. No cracks, chips or skips.

Side 4158-A presents a fox trot with Donald Saxon vocal, "It's A Lonesome Old Town", and side 4158-B offers a second fox trot with Ben Bernie vocal, "Au Revoir - Pleasant Dreams". Both are "Yowsah, Yowsah" performed by Ben Bernie and his Orchestra.
