Seller's Description
Two jazz sounds from Decca Records, circa late 1930's with Milt Herth on the organ; Billy Kyle at the piano; and O'Neil Spencer's drums and vocal. Playing jazz on the organ is a doubtful job at best, but this trio plays light jazz, not hot. Herth is a well-equipped organist with some flair for swing, and does a credible job.
This record still has an exceptional gloss and is squeeky clean and rich sounding. Faint play wear is evident. with a few light scratches, and background hiss is minimal. No cracks, skips, or chips.
Side 3664-A presents "Down Home Rag", and side 3664-B offers, "Hoity Hoity". Both are performed by the Milt Herth Trio, named above.
