Seller's Description
Deanna Durbin was a Canadian singer and actress, who appeared in a number of musical films in the 1930's and 1940's, her singing voice being variously described as being light but full, sweet and unaffected. With the technical skill and vocal range of a legitimate lyric soprano, she performed everything from popular standards to operatic arias. With a VG+ grading, her recording now offered to you maintains a high gloss with moderate wear of light scuffs and scratches. Clear sound with minimal background noise. More clean than not. No cracks, chips, or skips.
Side 2757-A features "Because", from the 1939 musical comedy, "Three Smart Girls Grow Up". Side 2757-B lists, "Ave Maria", (sung in Latin), from the 1938 film, "Mad About Music". Both are vocalized by the soprano voice of Deanna Durbin, with Charles Previn and His Orchestra.
