Seller's Description

Guy Lombardo formed the jazz band The Royal Canadians in 1924, famous for playing what is considered "The Sweetest Music This Side of Heaven." Here are two of their Rodgers & Hammerstein songs from the Theatre Guild Musical Play "Carousel" on Decca's "Personality Series" Records, circa 1948. Both sides maintain an exceptional gloss and are mostly clean and rich sounding. Faint play wear is evident. Incidental scratches and scuff marks, and background hiss is light. No cracks, chips, or skips.

Side 23428-A presents "June Is Bustin' Out All Over" as a fox trot tempo, and side 23428-B offers, "This Was A Real Nice Clambake" as a waltz rhythm. Both are performed by Hildegarde with Guy Lombardo And His Royal Canadians, and The Song Spinners.
