Seller's Description

This superb soloist emerged in the 1940's with a need to express the feelings of the GIs and their sweethearts during one of the most romantic periods of the last century, the war years. The quintessential superstar had 9 gold records achieved before there was MTV or television. Here are two of his best baritone vocals from Decca Records. With a VG+ grading, both sides maintain a decent gloss and are mostly clean and clear sounding. Light scuffs only and no cracks or skips. Small edge chips do not affect the play.

Side 18558-A features "I Heard You Cried Last Night", and side 18558-B offers, "I Never Mention Your Name". Both tunes are  are vocalized by the deep voice of Dick Haymes, with The Song Spinners accompaniment.
