The Blackhawks return after an 8-year absence, as a modern-day team of Mercenaries, willing to take on the most dangerous of jobs as long as they're getting paid for it!! The tone of the book is espionage, as opposed to war, and Writer Steve Skeates and Artist George Evans do a good job with it, introducing us to this now-covert team as well as their cover identities!
The issues here are:
244 - Feb. 1976 - FN - has Cover art by Joe Kubert! “Death’s Right Hand!”is written by Steve Skeates, drawn by George Evans, and edited by Gerry Conway, as The Blackhawk Team take on a job in the Sahara Desert! Featuring Duchess Ramona Fatale!
246 - June 1976 - VG/FN - "Death's Deadly Pawn!" is by Steve Skeates with Pencils by Ric Estrada and Inks by George Evans, as the action happens from a small Latin Nation all the way to Switzerland, as we are introduced to Elsa, Henrickson's daughter, in her very first appearance!
249 - Dec. 1976 - VF- "The Sky-Skull Caper" finds Blackhawk pursuing aNazi S.S. war criminal Von Gross to his flying headquarters! by the same team as # 246!
264 - Nov. 1983 - VF/NM - "A Long Ago Land!" is by Mark Evanier, Dan Spiegle, Colourist Janice Cohen, and Letterer Carrie Spiegle, as The Blackhawks try to solve a Mystery in Switzerland..."The snow -- it just disappears in this valley. And the city is untouched. But there's not supposed to be a city here..." — Blackhawk.
