Seller's Description

3 Original Italian 9 1/4 inch x 6 5/8 inch Black and White Stills of MARINA VLADY in the 1954 Giuseppe De Santis Italian Comedy Drama DAYS OF LOVE (GIORNI D’AMORE).

An exquisite blonde star of French and international films Marina Vlady is the sister of actresses Helene Vallier and Odile Versois. She made her screen debut as a child of 10, after several years in ballet under the name Marina Versois. She developed into a graceful and intriguing leading lady. She won a "Best Actress" award at the 1963 Cannes Film Festival for her stunning performance in “The Conjugal Bed” (1963) with Italy's Ugo Tognazzi.

Photos by Osvaldo Civirani
Civirani was a photographer at the Cinecitta studios during the golden years, working alongside Luchino Visconti at the time he was shooting “Osessione”. Later, he was an assistant to Alessandro Blasetti for “Fabiola” (1949), Federico Fellini for “Luci del varieta” (1950) and “Lo sceicco bianco” (1952) and Roberto Rossellini for “Francesco, giullare di Dio”. He made his debut as a film director in 1964 with the peplums “Kindar l’invulnerabile” and “Ercole contro i figli del sole”, both with actor Mark Forest. In 1965, he directed “Tentazioni proibite”, which featured Brigitte Bardot. He’s probably best remembered by Spaghetti Western fans for his 1967 film “Son of Django” with Guy Madison and Gabriele Tinti. Civirani died on February 20, 2008 in Rome.

The stills are in very good condition with minor surface marks.
