Seller's Description

Original 1948 British 17 inch x 11 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1947 Compton Bennett Thriller DAYBREAK, based on a play by Monckton Hoffe and starring Ann Todd, Eric Portman, Maxwell Reed, Bill Owen, Edward Rigby, Jane Hylton, Eliot Makeham, John Turnbull, Maurice Denham and Milton Rosmer.

A hangman conceals his true identity when he falls in love, and sets up home with his girl on a barge on the river Thames. Tragedy strikes when the hangman's assistant seduces his boss's wife and after a fight, the hangman is presumed drowned. The woman commits suicide, but the hangman has in fact survived, and saves his assistant from the gallows.

The Advertisement is in very good condition with a vertical centre fold and 3 staple holes along it.
