David Beford - SEA AND SKY AND GOLDEN HILL - Full Score

The title comes from a poem by Kenneth Patchen, the imagery of which seemed to fit the sound of the music very closely. Commissioned by the Avon Schools Symphonic Wind Band, for the 4th annual conference of the British Association of Symphony Bands and Wind Ensembles, and first performed September 20, 1985.
