This is the FIRST TIME these have been offered for sale and I'm the Original Owner!! Every issue is complete with all pages and each issue is in very high grade! This was DC Comics most important Series that re-structured the entire DC Comics Universe and featured the death of many of their familiar characters! Each of these comics is from 1985 to 1986 and are all the original 1st Edition issues! Each was lightly read once and then put into a protective bag, then grouped together and put into one larger bag! These are easily among the best copies out there!!
This pivitol series ran 12 issues and shook the very foundations of comicdom, featuring the death of the original Silver Age Supergirl, The Flash and Wonder Woman, the Golden Age Green Arrow and the Modern Day Huntress!
In a nutshell: After the Anti-Monitor was released from his prison, he set about destroying and rewriting the multiverse to his own whims. To combat this, the Monitor recruited several superheroes to defeat his rival, though he was soon taken out by a mind-controlled version of his own student, Harbinger! Eventually, there are only five remaining Earths, with the Anti-Monitor's massacre barely being stopped to preserve these worlds. In the end, it takes the efforts of Alexander Luthor (a heroic Lex Luthor from the world of Earth-Three), Kal-L (the Golden Age Superman), and Superboy-Prime to defeat him, along with help from the genocidal "god," Darkseid. The five Earths were merged into one, with Kal-L, Golden Age Lois Lane, and Superboy-Prime sent into a pocket dimension, having "earned" their happy ending. Those who go to the New Earth subsequently restarted their stories, with only the villainous Psycho-Pirate truly remembering what had happened. By the story's conclusion, worlds lived, worlds died, and the DC Universe was never the same!!
