If this was a mined stone, it'd cost $1,000/ct, but it's not and so both you and I can afford it. This looks just like your best Lightning Ridge Opal, but it's not. Oh, and it's a LOT more durable too. Nothing gives you a bad day worse than your $1,000/ct natural black opal getting cracked up the middle just 'cause you wore it on a cold day. That won't happen with this material. Very durable, and if there's a problem, very inexpensive. Totally gorgeous, and fraction of what real ones would cost -- but you pretty much have to be a jeweler to tell the difference. Set in bright white 925 Sterling Silver, these are very nice earrings. These stones are set into a 4 prong back-set bezel mounting with a rope design, hanging from leverbacks.
