Seller's Description
Originally one of the Plaza group of labels, it later became one of the ARC labels, out-living all it's stable-mates and becoming a subsidiary label of Columbia-CBS along with the revived Okeh label. Sold through Sears Roebuck & Co. and other chain stores and catalogues during it's life from 1926 to 1942. The record sleeves state that the proper playing speed for Conqueror Records is 80 rpm.
An early 1940's Columbia recording from Orrin Tucker and his Orchestra featuring a "Wee" Bonnie Baker vocal chorus on the "A" side. One of the BEST Big Band sounds of the era!
This is a mostly clean and clear sounding pair of dance swing rhythms, with an VG+ grading! One clean hairline shows but does not affect the play, other than light sounding. Otherwise, nice plays.
Side LA 1938 lists, "Blue Orchids", with a vocal chorus by Orrin Tucker.

Side WC 24557 plays, "Billy".
