Original 1949 British 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Double-Sided Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1948 Sam Wood Wartime Drama COMMAND DECISION, based on the play by William Wister Haines and starring Clark Gable, Walter Pidgeon, Van Johnson, Brian Donlevy, John Hodiak and Charles Bickford.
Army generals struggle with the decision to prioritize bombing the German factories producing new jet fighters over the extremely high casualties the mission will cost.
On the reverse is the 1949 Charles Walters Musical THE BARKLEYS OF BROADWAY starring Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Oscar Levant, Billie Burke, Jacques François, Gale Robbins, George Zucco, Clinton Sundberg, Inez Cooper, Carol Brewster, Wilson Wood, Margaret Bert, Claire Carleton, Lorinne Crawford, Mary Jo Ellis and Joyce Mathews.
Ten years after their last collaboration, Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire reunited for their only colour co-outing. “Barkleys” is the movie version of the couple renewing their cinematic vows.
