Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is a 1920's, 10 inch, dance rhythm (fox trots) recording. Overall, this record is clean, with nice sounding plays, though moderate playwear of light scratch and scuff marks appear. Graded at VG+.
Side 80671 presents, "Burning Sands", played by (Harry) Yerkes' S.S. Flotilla Orchestra.
