Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is a circa 1920's, pair of orchestra dance music fox trots. In near-mint condition! Pristinely clean and glossy. Looks like it was just taken out of the sleeve for the first time! Only the sticker on the label shows evidence it was previously owned. Excellent sounds.
Side 80544 offers, "Carolina In The Morning" and side 80590 presents, "Silver Swanee". These fox trots are performed by the Eddie Elkins' Orchestra.
