Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is a 1930's, 10 inch, pair of fox trot recordings. Record #A3301. Overall, this record is clean, with minimal scratches on general playwear, and the usual hiss is to be expected, though for its age still plays fairly clearly. A faint hairline crack is starting to show but does NOT, as yet, affect the play or cause any skips.
Side 79396 presents, "Whispering".
Side 79398 offers, "If A Wish Could Make It So", which introduces "We've Got Something" from "Tickle Me". Both dance melodies are conducted by the Art Hickman Orchestra.
