Seller's Description

1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

Offered here is a circa 1917, pair of orchestra rhythms. No cracks or skips giving a decent audio. Light wear with the usual scuffs and scratches will present some hiss and pop but the tempos heard more than make up for that, in our opinion. One small edge chip DOES NOT interfere with the play, but you'll have to look where you place the needle.

Side 79378 presents, "Children's Toy March" and side 38618 shows, "Children's Symphony". These melodies are performed by Prince's Orchestra.
